- Two new indicator options have been added: Snapshot graph of
Attribute by Attribute, and Histogram of Attribute by Attribute.
- PSM Insight includes a new indicator format: Rolling period graphs and tables.
Rolling period indicators are based on either a snapshot or a trend graph,
plotting each data item as an aggregate or sum of values for up to 5 user-specified
lengths of time (typically, a range of months).
- If you define a trend indicator date
range less than 62 days, the x-axis now includes day ticks for greater precision.
- You can now limit the number of decimal places that PSM Insight displays in
tables for calculated indicator series and calculated data items.
- The Project
Setup function includes an Explorer style interface for defining the project
Directory location.
- You can now "clone" a project by using the Project Pack
function and selecting the Pack without data option. This option saves a copy
of your current project definitions (issues, categories, measures, structures,
attributes, indicators) without saving project-specific data created with the
Data or Import functions.
- The Data grid now supports multiple record selection,
using Ctrl-click and Shift-click. The grid includes Save to disk, save to an
Email attachment, and a Copy to Clipboard functions. Columns displaying data
items, structure levels, and attributes are now headed with data Names rather
than the abbreviated Field Names. Data functions now include shortcut keys.
- In Version 4.1.2, the Measurement Plan Report did not function properly if
it included an indicator. The MPR is now fixed.
- Software reliability modeling
indicators are now functioning correctly. In previous versions, the SMERFS program
sometimes failed to display indicator data.
- In earlier version of PSM Insight,
when you saved or emailed a report in RTF format from the Report Preview function,
the graph files were not saved, causing an error while emailing. This problem
has been fixed.
- PSM Insight now displays Indicator Edit Dialogs more quickly,
especially in projects with long lists of structure and attribute values.
- Previously, if you had a missing value in a Date field, and you used that data
item in a Calculated Data Item, the missing date was handled as if it were a
zero, resulting in skewed indicators and inaccurate values in the indicator
Table. PSM Insight now handles date missing values correctly (as a missing date,
not as a numeric value).
- Save, Copy, Email, and Report functions have been
standardized for consistency in appearance and functionality.
- Indicators that
display calculated data items involving date math incorrectly reported zeros
in the Table cells instead of the correct totals. Indicators now show the correct
totals. The same calculated data items displayed as errors in
the Data Entry Grid. PSM Insight now displays the correct values.
- You can
now Copy an Indicator and edit it, creating a new indicator which is based on
an existing one. This makes Indicator Setup easier to use, by providing a base
from which to work.
- PSM Insight now lets you Save an Indicator Graph, Table,
or Annotations from the Indicator Preview/Show screen, creating a separate file
for use in a presentation, email, or spreadsheet.
- Indicator Date ranges and
data collection periods now include a half-year option.
- PSM Insight now includes
a template and editor for the creation of a Measurement Plan Report. The template
includes PSM-recommended sections and guidance text. Access the new report from
the File menu.
- You can now save and send a report as a email attachment. Use
the Email button on the Report Preview screen.
- You can now include Date, Time,
and Date/Time data items in Calculated Data Item formulas.
