Since 1988, Independent Engineering, Inc.,
has provided product assurance engineering support to various
government and commercial clients. We have an unequalled record as a
consulting organization that has retained every one of our major

to the present.
Software, Systems, and Product Assurance Engineering
We have provided 15 years of support to the U.S. Army Test and
Evaluation Command in software engineering analysis and test &
evaluation of Army software-intensive systems. Engineering support
includes review of software design, assessment of critical software
technical issues, evaluation of the results of developmental test,
and planning operational software tests.
We have provided technical staff for the Practical Software and
Systems Measurement (PSM) Support Center for 7 years. This support
has included development of the PSM Insight software tool. PSM
Insight is currently used by many government agencies and commercial
companies, such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Computer
Sciences Corporation. PSM Insight is in use in several countries in
addition to the US, such as Brazil, Australia, and Denmark.
We have provided 9 years of support to various organizations at the
DoD management level; including OUSD(A&T), DoD Y2K Test Directorate,
and the DoD Chief Information Officer.
We currently support the DoD Software-Intensive Systems (SIS) office
in the area of Independent Expert Program Review (IEPR). The SIS
support has included development of the software tool for Systemic
Analysis.
We not only coach other development teams, but we implement the same
software engineering and management best practices that we
recommend.
